. . . October 8, 1999, I scored a hole-in-one on hole #15, a 149-yard, par 3 at Black Rock Golf Club outside Hagerstown, Maryland. The tee (white) was high on the side of a hill and overlooks a pond with the green directly behind it. I deposited several balls in that pond before this date. Using a 6-iron I made a good connection and the ball (a Pinacle 3) soared up and came down within a foot of the hole and one-bounced in. Was so excited I send out an email to fifty friends in my contacts. The only announcement of this accomplishment was in our Church Bulletin. My wife & I told the guy on the desk who took my name and my Florida address (We'd moved to Florida five years earlier).
