It was May 17, 2018; a hot Texas day with temperatures pushing into the mid 90's, I was playing at the Houston National Golf Club and standing on hole #14 - a 164-yard Par 3. I pulled the tee out from under my hat, grabbed by Titleist Pro V1, and pulled out the Titleist AP3 7-iron. Ball down, club down, I looked up one final time at the pin, looked back down and...whack! Beautiful ball flight up into the Sun, ball lands, bounces twice and disappears from sight. My golf mate grabs his range finder and says, "Mate, I can't see the ball. It went in." I approached the pin slowly, looked in and there was by Pro V1 lying at the bottom. "It's in the hole!"
