One in a million

Don't have any idea how many par 3's I have played during my lifetime, but it has been a lot. Playing with two of my classmates shortly after celebrating our 50th college reunion it happened! Par 3, 148 yards, wind at our back, steep uphill, hit it right at the pin, which turned out to be dead in the middle of the green. Naturally, the ball disappeared over the edge of the green and I didn't see it actually go in. But, a young man, eitht years or so old, playing with his Dad and Uncle directly in fron of us was watching. His vertical jump was all I needed to understand what had happened. I hope this youngster shares the feeling I had sometime in his golfing life. There is probably nothing quite like it. The back story, I had a triple bogey on the next hole!
