Pure shock

It was a sunny day in Allentown, PA. Thursday golf league. The day of the week I look forward to the most. I had just made a double bogey on 10 when I stepped up to the 11th tee box. My playing partner had just read out the yardage on his range finder, 143 yards. I grabbed my pitching wedge. Choked down on the grip and hit the purest shot of my life. I saw the ball land 15 feet behind the hole and roll downhill toward the cup. Next thing I knew the ball had disappeared. I threw my club down and was in total shock. After 20 years it had finally happened to me. A hole in one. My playing partners were so excited for me. Partially for the shot, mostly for the free drinks I had to buy. My bar bill was $110 and couldn't have been happier.
