I don't get to play with my dad much however, this particluar day I did. No. 3 at Pendleton Golf course in Ladysmith, Va., I took a 7 iron at 167 yds over water. I've played this course a few times and and 8 iron always put me short on the berm or dead in the water. This time I hit it good, little draw pinseeker. I yelled out 'within a foot!' to my buddy who mind you has a little side bet goin with yours truly. This particular placement didnt allow us to see the cup so we lost sight when it hit the green. We all then proceeded to the green and saw 3 of the 4 balls, nothing close to the pin though. My buddys dad says 'you might want to check that!'. I walk across scanning the rough and as I got over top the cup there it was tucked behind the flagstick. What a special moment to get to share with my closest friends and especially my dad, a moment well never forget.
