On a windy April 19th in 2012 at about 12:30 in the afternoon I had a great iron game but lousy putting game going when I approached the 5th. tee. My friend Peter and I have a sweeps game where by which Birdies payout $50 to each other and Eagles pay out $100. For every three putt registered between birdies (or eagles) the pot increases by $5. I had already terribly missed 4 of 4 previous birdie putts while increasing the pot to $70. I stepped up to the 5th tee box with a 7 iron in my hand. There was at least a 2 club wind at my back for the 194 yard par three. I put a good swing on it. It bounced on the fringe and rolled up the green about 40 yards before it disappeared. I wasn't sure it was in, but my partners were. I ran around and screamed and was of course excited because I just also won $120 in the bet with my friend. I was playing a Pro V1x Red 2 that I played with for another two holes before my friend convinced me that I might want to keep it. It was my 2nd eagle and first ever hole in one.
