Round of my life

So my wife and our 3 kids vacation every year in Hilton Head along with my wife's whole family. I usually golf at least one of the days with my 10 year old son and my father-in-law. We have gotten a lot of rain so the course was playing cart path only today, and my father-in-law can't walk that much due to some health problems; so needless to say it was just my son and I. It must be karma because we were supposed to get rained out and it held out, and we got in our round. On the 3rd hole, it was playing to about 192 yards, with the pin tucked behind a bunker, in the back right of the green. It's a bit of a blind tee shot so you can't see the result. I hit a 5-iron and struck it pure...one of those shots that just feels good. My son randomly says, "dad, that could be in the hole". I'm thinking, "yeah sure". I've been playing golf my whole life, since I was about 8. I've been close but never gotten a hole in one. We get closer to the green and we don't see the ball, but the hole was over a ridge so I figured we either can't see it yet or maybe I flew the green? We park the cart, and my son runs up to the green, looks in the hole, and starts yelling, "dad, it's in the hole". What?? I get up there, and sure enough, it's in the hole. After playing golf for nearly 40 years, competitively through school, this was an experience and a day I will never forget....AND, I got to share it with my son. Very special, and in true form, I'm getting emotional writing this story. Thank you Titleist for being my ball of choice since high school, and taking care of me today!
