During a recent 2 person best ball tournament at Dalton Ranch (5/22/2016), I hit the shot of my life. The 2nd hole was setup for 142 yards and my 9 iron sailed through the air. The tail wind pushed the ball from left to right toward the hole. The shot looked good the hole way, bounce, bounce, then rolled toward the flag. There was a dramatic pause, where the foursome collectively held our breath, then it fell. Shouts, high fives, even the guy on the mower threw up his hands. Then I realized this is a tournament and tradition states you buy a round. Oh well, at least there are a lot of great people that celebrated with me.
