Second Time All the More Sweet
By Ken W On September 22, 2016
Playing with my son, Logan, we approached the second par three of the day. He went first, which is normal, as he almost always has the honor. I then stepped up and was a little worried as water was just to the left of the green on this hole, playing about 160 yards due to pin placement in the back. To compensate for a slice, I can be a little strong with my grip, causing the ball to go a little left. This time the shot was dead straight, landing just below the cup and as it rolled I was hoping it was as close as it looked improving my chance for an easy birdie. Suddenly the ball disappeared. We weren't sure if it went in, or was hidden by the flag stick. As we approached, it was obvious it had gone in. Nothing like that first moment when you peer into the cup and see your Titleist looking back. I was using a Titleist 2 DT Solo. It was all the more sweet, as my son witnessed the shot. He was also present Aug 23, 2009 when I hit my first.
