Seventy-One Year Old Golfer Thanks Mom

On a sunny Sunday afternoon, I set up against the gusty howling wind. Swinging the club through, it felt perfect. The white ball went high and straight but I couldn't see it go in. But somehow, I knew. I walked to the hole and non-chalantly looked down to see that glorious Titleist resting peacefully. I called to my fellow competitors, Janice and Rosie. They ran over, looked into the hole and gave me a group hug. Wow! I'm glad I wore green in honor of my late mother (maiden name of Sullivan) on Mother's Day.
