I’m 50 years old and I hung up my softball cleats four years ago and picked up a golf club and been golfing ever since! I golf all season in several leagues. And when I’m not playing in league I’m playing with friends and family. I was recently asked who is my favorite female golfer. I hesitated for a second, put my arm around my 75 year old mother and said she is! Unfortunately the day I got my hole-in-one she happened to be playing elsewhere with her boss. I would have loved for her to have been there more than anyone. My hole-in-one took place at The Lyons Den Golf Course in Canal Fulton, Ohio. It was a par 3 with a steep incline and 148 yds to the pin, therefore it was necessary to reach the green comfortably with my driver. I hit my ball but it was difficult to see where it landed. I was playing with Allie Slack, who is my golf partner who finally found my ball after we searched up and around the green. We were both jumping with joy! I hope I am lucky enough to share someone else’s joy sometime soon!
