I was playing the course just down the street from my house, and wasn't really having that good of a round. We decided to play "closest to the pin" for a coke from the cart girl. One of the guys in the group hit it within 10' so I had to try and go at the flag. The flag was in the back middle, and the hole was playing about 160. I hit my 8 iron right at the flag and the ball landed in the middle and started rolling toward the cup. I stood there in utter shock as the ball disappeared! I have hit the flag many times, but I will never forget the excitement of that first hole-in-one!
