It was a sultry hot summer day in mid June...June 15th to be exact when mighty Ben came to bat...I mean to the tee...I was 1 hole down with several skins ridding on this next to last 142 yard par three 8th hole on the Black Course at Keith Hills NC ( Campbell University )...I drew my trusty 7 iron and looked at the hole a couple of times...I can't remember if I ask for a little divine intervention or not (apparently I must have)...anyway I swung as I have thousands of times before and it looked great all the way, then it disappeared out of sight and I figured it had rolled down behind a small drop off behind the hole..."nooo" Pat ( one of my competitors) said" I think it went in the hole"...he was more excited than I because he was sure it had gone in and I would not let myself get pumped up because of all the close calls before...long story short, we arrived at the green I didn't see my ball and I started to get excited as Pat walked up looked into the hole with great excitement for me as I made my first ever "hole in one" ( I tried to put a little Casey At The Bat spin on this just for fun) thanks guys
