Hello, My name is Claire Oetinger. I am 16 years old and play golf for Yosemite High School in Oakhurst, CA. Last Wednesday, while playing in one of our league tournaments I made a hole-in-one on the par 3 eighth hole at Pheasant Run Golf Course, located in Chowchilla, CA. I hit my #3 Pro v1x with a seven iron from 135 yards in the hole. From the start I knew I hit a good shot, but I didn't realize how good it was until it hit the green 12 feet from the hole, bounced twice and disappeared into the hole. I stood there stunned for a moment, before I raised my house and accidentally tossed my club. The three other girls in my group and I danced around on the tee box for a few minutes. They were as excited as I was. I never had a dance party on a tee box before!!! It was awesome. My dad, who is my coach said that I am the first in our league to ever make a hole in one in a tournament. That includes both boys and girls.
