Every year since we were in high school, going on 15 years now, my buddies and I play in a fundraiser outing for a local outdoors club which helps get youths and handicapped individuals involved in hunting and the outdoors. This past June, joined by the same three great friends, Matt, Matt, and Ryan towards the end of our scramble we stepped up to the par 3, 132 yard, second hole at Riverside Golf Course in Clintonville WI. Selecting a 9-iron, I struck a solid shot that landed 5 ft in front of the pin and released to the hole for my first hole-in-one. We couldn't believe it, yelling, screaming, hugs and fist bumps galore, there the my Titleist rest in the bottom of the cup. For me, a perfect setting to record my first hole-in-one and the first hole-in-one in the 15+ years of the fundraiser, with three great friends to share the excitement with.
