It was my 4th collegiate tournament and I was having a rough season. We were using this tournament to try to solve problems in my swing. So on hole 4 my coach had me try something different with my swing and then said he would see me on hole 7 to see how it was going. So I kept trying to perfect my swing, hole #7 came around and when I walked up to the tee box I saw that both my head and assistant coach were standing there. Alongside of them were 2 other coaches and 3 sets of parents so it was kind of stressful considering I was not having a good round. The first girl teed off and left her ball 2 feet short of the pin so my coach told me to land my ball right by hers. I hit my only good 9 iron shot of the day and indeed I hit my ball perfectly it bounced right next to the first girls and into the pin but shot off to the right, so I turned took out my tee and said dang almost had a hole in one. While I wasn't really paying attention my ball backspun into the hole. Calling my parents was my favorite part of the day because they were 3 states away and didn't believe me because it was their 31st Wedding Anniversary. Best present I could ever give them.
