I played a LOT of golf from the late 80's to through the early 2ks.
Practiced almost every day for many of those years. Worked my way to a very low single-digit handicap index. I was a Titleist 'Balata' fan pretty early on with a brief move to the 'Tour Edition' ball. I forget what might have been in my bag in between but when the Titleist ProV was introduced there was no going anywhere else.

Anyway, family and work etc. conspired to squeeze golf out of my life completely.
Prior to June of 2015 I had not stepped on golf course in over 6 years; and barely picked up a club, let alone struck a golf ball.

I got into a discussion recently with one of the dad's of my daughter's softball team and he persuaded me to join a group of coaches and parents in an outing at his home course.

First hole was a disaster. Second hole not so bad.
Third hole : Ace!
Bought 3 Titleist ProV1x balls, retired 1 after 3 holes (duh), put second in play and never had to take the third out of the sleeve.
Pretty good day.
