I was playing a practice round for a weekend 2 man EVENT at the Carolina Club, in Grandy, NC. It was blowing 10 to 15 mph right in my face on #14, 149yds, I hit a punch 6 iron to make sure I cleared the front bunker and the shot never left the pin. It landed about 8' short and rolled straight in. I have been playing golf for 50 years and this was my 1st hole in one. Even better was the fact there were 6 of my best golf buddies playing that day and it was backed up on the par 3 so they were all there to see it. Needless to say there was plenty of celebration after the round.
