You never know when it will happen

After having played the game for over 53 years, I thought my chances of getting a Hole-In-One would never happen. After I retired I started playing 3-4 times a week, and as should happen my game improved, handicap lowered and I hit the ball at the flag more often. I also started playing Pro V1s regularly. My wife and I were playing late on a Sunday afternoon in the Woodlands when it finally happened. I hit an 8 iron right at the pin, but it was behind a sand bunker so I couldn't see it after it hit. I jokingly said to my wife, "that might go in!". When I went to the green, I could see my wife's ball but not mine and thought, it went in! I gladly confirmed it in the hole!!
