The contact was crisp but the trees blocked my initial view of the ball flight of my second shot as it soared over the trees on the par 5 first hole at Olomana Golf Links in Waimanalo Hawaii. The feel of the Pro V1x fully compressed on my 4 iron told me the shot was pure. The ball landed on the green 185 yards away, took on hop and gently rolled into the cup for double eagle 2.

But the story doesn't end there. On the 145 yard par 3 second I was just wide left off the tee but managed to chip in for a birdie 2. So that't the greatest golf story of my 50 years of playing this great game. I've never made a hole in one, but on this day, my Pro V1x and I were four under after two--with no putts!
