Charles Warren Demonstrates a Total Body Pre-Round Warmup Routine on the Next GFA

On the next all new episode of Golf Fitness Academy, co-hosts Dr. Greg Rose and Dave Phillips are joined by PGA Tour professional Charles Warren and Randy Myers, Director of Fitness at the Sea Island Resort. Together the group demonstrates a total body warmup routine to target the key muscles in the golf swing and prepare golfers before they head out on the course. Charles, currently ranked among the top 20 players in driving distance, underwent shoulder surgery in 2001 and has worked closely with his trainers and instructors to develop a more standardized warmup program, integrating fitness and golf preparation exercises to rehabilitate and strengthen the shoulder while also working on flexibility before he goes out on the course. Charles demonstrates his program, which features a three step stretching and flexibility routine beginning with an Upper and Lower Body Warmup which focuses on dynamic movements, then Stretching Drills for the back, shoulders and legs and finally Tubing Drills which enhance flexibility. How important is forearm strength and how often should you train those muscles?  In general, when can you detect whether you've over-trained a particular muscle group? Thanks.
