Video: Titleist Tour Reps Answer Your Equipment Questions

Posted: May 24, 2012

Titleist Tour Rep Chris Tuten and Scotty Cameron Tour Rep Larry Silveira, two of our equipment experts working with players each week on the PGA Tour, recently checked in with Team Titleist to answer many of your equipment questions.

Chris and Larry shared a lot of great information and insight (as usual), while filming their answers inside the Titleist Tour Van. Check out the videos below.

Steve F. asks: Do players on the PGA tour typically have their irons bent to a stronger loft? It seems like these guys hit their irons incredibly long!

My swing speed is around 90mph, Im 65 years young,

I'm wanting to know if there is anything i can do to increase my speed

I'm using the 910D2 10.5 deg  Stiff flex.

Dear Ronnie, i'm 46, swingspeed 107mpu and i am using a 910D2, 9.5deg regular RIP, set on standard.

i would recommend that you rather go to a softer flex than to try and increase your swingspeed. if you really want to swing faster try a lighter shaft maybe.

If my clubs are 2* flat and made 3/4" shorter than standard, what will be my effective lie angle?

What are Bryce Molders driver specs? (shaft, flex, tipping/untipped, length)

I am currently playing the 910 D2. What difference & advantage would I realize if I went to the 913 D2?

Hi guys, I love the equipment talk, awesome stuff! Can you comment on some of the more popular iron shafts used by tour players. Thanks!

I play AP 2`s 712 Irons, with the TT XP S-300 shaft. I have arthritis in the hands. A club fitter suggested adding smal cork inserts to the tip of the shaft to dampen vibration. Does this work and does it change the playiong characteristics of the club
