Kisner Captures Second PGA TOUR Title at Colonial

“I knew the way I was playing I going to give myself a ton of chances to win. That's all you ever dream about, is having a chance coming down the last five holes. I've had that probably three or four times this year. It's always fun and you always handle it differently. Today I was just having fun with it. I was just having a great time.”

These is how Titleist golf ball loyalist Kevin Kisner (Pro V1) described his final round at Colonial Country Club, during which he fired four back nine birdies, including three in a row on Nos. 10-12, to capture the Dean & DeLuca Invitational by one shot.

“It's definitely at the top of my list when I set a schedule,” Kisner said, referring to Colonial. “I love the golf course. It reminds me a ton of home (Aiken, South Carolina). Really precision golf off the tee and into the greens. You got to hit your numbers and be in the right quadrant. That's what Colonial is all about, and I just love being here.”

Kisner posted a closing 4-under-par 66 en route to his 10-under-par 270 victory total.

The defending champion, Titleist Brand Ambassador Jordan Spieth (Pro V1x) and fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Sean O’Hair ( Pro V1) were among three players who tied for 2nd, while overnight leader, Titleist Brand Ambassador Webb Simpson (Pro V1) finished solo 5th, another shot back.

Kisner topped a leaderboard that featured nine Titleist players among the 11 who finished in the top 10 and ties.

Congratulations, Kevin!

Titleist was the overwhelming golf ball choice at the DEAN & DELUCA Invitational with 85 players in the field of 121 trusting a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success. That’s more than six times the nearest competitor with 14 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist was also the top choice of players in the hybrids (20) and irons (38) categories. Vokey Design Wedges topped the approach, sand and lob wedge (159) category. Scotty Cameron putters were the top choice in the putter (50) category.

Kisner’s win marks the 14th for Titleist golf ball loyalists this season, more than twice the nearest competitor (6).
