AVX: You Asked. We Delivered.

“Love the soft feel and added distance on irons.”

“The soft feel is amazing! It really complements all of its other characteristics like longer, great control around the greens, and a little lower ball flight.”

“When will it be available to the rest of us?”

“Bring this ball to market.”

These are just a few of the comments we heard from Team Titleist as we embarked on a comprehensive test market in Arizona, California and Florida that started in October 2017 and ran until January 2018.

The end result… resounding validation of AVX, particularly among golfers who prioritize distance and extremely soft feel.

And now, we’re excited to announce that beginning today Titleist AVX is available in golf shops across the U.S. In fact, we’ve accelerated the manufacturing of AVX in Titleist Ball Plant 3 in New Bedford, Mass. to meet golfer demand and the worldwide launch of AVX in the coming months.

“Golfers have spoken loud and clear about the performance of AVX,” said Michael Mahoney, Vice President, Titleist Golf Ball Marketing. “While our R&D team is constantly exploring new golf ball technologies, only a limited number of prototypes ever make it past the initial machine and player testing phases. AVX stood out from the beginning. Ultimately, it was important to let golfers decide whether this golf ball had a place in our line and the results of our test market were emphatic. Many golfers were waiting for a product like AVX – our lowest flying, lowest spinning and softest feeling high performance golf ball – to help them play their best.”

Does the AVX replace the NXT?

With me being a long time ProV1 user, send me some AVX in high optic yellow so I can see for myself if I want to switch. I always wanted high optic yellow ProV1 but they probably won't ever be available.

Definitely want to give these a try.

So I was not quite in the 3 selected test markets, but I was able to get my hands on a couple sleeves of the AVX.  Since I live in New England, and we have NOT had the best start to spring, I have been playing the AVX.  Knowing the ball is a bit lower compression than my typical ball, ProV1, I decided to give it a shot.

After several rounds, I found the distances very comparable to the ProV, but more importantly, I found that the ball felt much softer while putting.  Given the fact you make between 20-35 putts a round, I thought having the AVX would further help me in getting better.

I was curious as to when these might become available to all markets, and bang...in comes the email from Mike D stating they are available.

Ordered them right away, and can't wait to get them into play.

Thanks again Titleist for listening to your customers and making this ball come to fruition as fast as you did!!!

Hats off to all of you and enjoy the 2018 season

Good move.  This ball has a place alongside ProV1 and ProV1x.
