My Titleist: How Tyrone van Aswegen marks his Pro V1x

Titleist Brand Ambassador Tyrone van Aswegen uses red ink to mark his Pro V1x.

Why red? It's very simple.

"Red is for birdies," the South African told us, referring to the traditional color used for birdies on PGA Tour scoreboards.

Tyrone is also particular when it comes to the play numbers he uses in competition (though they're less traditional).

And in case you're interested in the other colors that are traditionally used for hole-by-hole scoring on Tour, pars are typically shown in black. Bogeys are also shown in black or sometimes a darker color like blue or green. Eagles and double bogeys may be differentiated with a background color, such as yellow, that make the numeral stand out against the white background of the leaderboard.
