Titleist Tee-To-Green: The Players' Choice at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans

Scott Piercy and Billy Horschel line up a putt at the 2018 Zurich Classic of New Orleans2018 Zurich Classic Champions Scott Piercy (Pro V1) and Billy Horschel (Pro V1x)

Golf at the highest levels is usually an individual pursuit - one player trying to top a field of equally motivated competitors - but this week in New Orleans it's all about teamwork as the PGA Tour stages the Zurich Classic, the only official event on the calendar follows a two-man team format.

The first and third rounds will be played as best ball (fourballs) at the event. The second and final rounds will play under alternate shot (foursomes) rules. A 36-hole cut will be made down to the top 35 teams and ties.

Titleist is the #1 golf ball of choice among players at the 2019 Zurich Classic of New OrleansAmong the 80 two-man teams competing at TPC Louisiana this week, Titleist is once again the most popular golf ball choice among players, with 79% of players  (126 players) trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than eight times the nearest competitor with 9% (15 players) and more than all other competitor brand golf balls combined.

Titleist is also the top choice in the driver category, with 51 Titleist models in play. Of those Titleist drivers, 46 were TS models (TS2 - 14 | TS3 - 28 | TS4 - 4).

Titleist is also the #1 choice among players in hybrids (23) and irons (48). Vokey Design Wedges also topped the approach, sand and lob wedge category with 228 Vokey models in play.

In addition, 34 players this week are trusting one golf brand, Titleist, from tee-to-green, throughout the entire bag — a vote of confidence that speaks volumes when you have the added pressure of not wanting to let your teammate down.

As we get ready for another exciting weekend in golf, let's take a look at the gear that a few of these Titleist Brand Ambassador Teams will be relying on in New Orleans.
