As a golfer, you want to maximize your game by using the best equipment for you. Finding the best golf equipment starts with Titleist. As the #1 ball in golf, we understand the benefit of choosing the right golf ball for your game. Perhaps you’ve been asking yourself: What is the best golf ball for me? A great place to get started is right here on Titleist.com, using our New Golf Ball Selector Tool.
We developed this interactive app for golfers who are not able to attend an official Titleist fitting event. Our golf ball selector tool incorporates the same evaluation logic used by our golf ball fitting teams when they're helping golfers out in the field.
STEP 1: Visit the Golf Ball Selector Tool
When you visit Titleist’s online golf ball selector tool, you'll be prompted to respond to several questions about your current game, your goals and your preferences. The objective is to find the best golf ball for you to use. Based on your responses, the Selector Tool will identify a recommended golf ball and an alternative golf ball model that will most likely help you shoot your lowest scores.
STEP 2: Compare Golf Balls On The Course
Once the selector tool has recommended two golf balls to test, the next step is to play golf! Take your recommended golf ball and alternate golf ball models to the golf course for an on-course evaluation. This is the fun part. Now, you’ll get to compare golf ball performance side-by-side to determine the best golf ball for your game.
There are many ways to conduct an on-course evaluation, but pay close attention to how the two models compare on shots around and onto the green. Short-game performance is a critical element of choosing the best golf ball for you. These shots have the greatest impact on score, so if one golf ball model is a clear winner in this area, you can practically guarantee that model is the best golf ball for your game.
To help keep track of how the two golf balls perform during your on-course testing, Download and Print Our On-Course Golf Ball Evaluation Scorecard.
STEP 3: Play Your Best Golf Ball Model
Trust the outcome of your on-course golf ball evaluation. Use the same model golf ball on every shot of every round you play. This will eliminate a degree of variation that you would experience if you play a hodge-podge of different golf balls. When you know what to expect from your golf ball, your confidence and consistency will grow, and you'll see the results in lower scores.
Good luck and if you have any questions, check out our golf ball fitting and education page to learn more about the Titleist Approach.
