    Try it without tipping first, and try it for a year. Tipping is fine tuning for better players, and can change the characteristics of the shaft depending on how much is removed. Once it's cut, you can never go back.

    Dino makes some great points and I agree. Something else that might help is something like Golfmetrics or other app that tracks your scores and can give you some idea where your biggest areas for improvement lie.
