No, don't think the major manufacturers see a need for it in irons and wedges. Once fitted with irons: type of shaft, shaft flex, shaft length, and lie angle, there is not too much that will need to be altered after playing the irons and wedges.
I change the setting all the time not on the way my swing is for the day but the way the weather is i live in SLC and in the spring we have wind and rain all the time so thats we i made the change tothe 910 becouse you can make a change for the weather…
I would have to say it is a shrine to golf's greatest players who have walked this course since the beginning.

I def feel the new X spins more, but it goes further (lower spin) than any version of the 1 off mid irons through driver (from what I can tell). I haven't played the new 1 other than a few shots, but I would def say the new X is closer to other version…
