  • I got a hole in one

    I got a hole in one at TPC Twin Cities hole 8 from 168 yards out. I hit a smooth 7 and I knew it was good. Couldn’t see the ball on the green, I thought it rolled off the back but I went up to the hole and there it was.

    I really like the slow and deliberate method to getting out of trouble. Thinking about it, I usually find myself punching out quickly to get the ball in the fairway to keep the pace on the hole. This will most likely translate in evaluating some options…

    grip pressure, shaft lean, leading edge, bounce. So many factors!
    I agree with thethought of getting less hands involved and rotate through with chest following the ball down the line.

    Depending on all conditions, my stock 205 shot is a 5 iron. 220 would be a hard 4 or cut 3 iron.

    Of the tee, I place the number of where i want to strike the ball and focus on that. On the course, I do the same but focus on a single dimple.
