For me there was the same question when I got fit.
As I am already a long hitter, my fitter suggested to take the 15*, as more distance would not help me much in the game, and it will be slightly easier to hit it of the deck

But suggest to ask your fitter…

If you can hit a 1 iron, god bless. My suggestion would be to go on ebay and pick up a replacement, used. Don't fool around with something that works.
