I had a set of AP1, 2008. Purchased AP2, 712. Same shaft. Liked the look of the AP2, but only used a year as the AP1 is better club for me. Looked at the new AP1 716 and purchased in Nov, used 6 rounds in Florida in December and was really satisfied…

Worked at the tournament about 4 years ago. Didn't get to go into the stands on the 16, but worked close enough to hear the "exhuberance" of the fans. Also, played the course on Monday, and just playing the 16th, with no fans, was some experience!…

the new 816h2 is a joy to hit you cant go wrong with Titleist

I suspect you are partly spot-on Luke.

I was intrigued to read the responses of Team Titleist members who like myself were sent a sleeve of 'Test' balls to assess as many people reported longer than normal drives, while others spoke of a nice soft feel…

I know I'm late to this discussion topic. I just don't think you should give up on these clubs, personally. If I were in your "golf shoes" right now, I would accept my decision and work at getting better. I would stop focusing on any loss of distance…
