    I'm far from the official word, but the AP1 is only about 10 percent bigger than AP2.

    I suspect that proportionally, an oversize club with a thin top line would appear just as strange as a small head with a thick top.

    Here is an outline of lie angles for the 714 surefit iron system:

    2 " - " symbols: 2 FLAT

    2 " - " and 2 " + ": Std. Lie

    2 " + ": 2 UP 

    4 "+ ": 4 UP

    Whatever the distance gap is between the 5I and the 3H will be easier to adjust by choking down on the 3H than trying to fill a gap between the 4H and your next fairway wood. Depending on your gap needs, adjusting the 21 to 22.5 degrees can also be helpful…
