There's also a somewhat noticeable difference between the older ProV1s and the newer once, especially when it comes to durability.
I was working as a Starter/Marshal on March 30, 2006 at Signal Hill Golf Course in Panama City Beach, FL. I was playing lots of golf since starters were allowed to play free. I like that word free. The 16th hole at Signal Hill is a 155 yard par 3 uphill…
Rainy (Houston) weather kept me off the course for almost two weeks, but finally had a chance to try the prototype ball (red number) into play Saturday and Sunday. All the following, I am comparing to the ProV1X I normally play.
these new prototype balls are about 10 yds longer off the driver.the spin off the wedges is considerable.mine backed up almost twice the usual distance of the prov1x.will need to adjust irons and wedges if i use these.
Played in a par 3 tournament with them and was amazed how the ball stopped on the green. I don't spin the ball that often but these balls had great stopping power.
Tested mine last week and noticed these protos had a low ball flight. Also noticed cover not as durable as the ProV1.
Just wondering but Thanks Titleist!!!
I have question to all ball testers. I noticed slight distance difference in putting with the test balls. l took them to the practice green and used old cup mark it seemed to be about a foot further than my old ProV1x. I am wondering was it just my enthusiasm…
does any one know if these TEST balls can be used in local and state tournaments?
