I prefer the tour velvet grips, the cord grips tear up my hands. As for grips on your driver and woods, I guess it is all about preference and feel.
I live in the Bronx and work at Pelham Bay/Split Rock golf courses. I agree with Frank P., most of us will probably check it out, but won't be a regular. I think DT wants the high price to keep play down, with less wear & tear of his course.
