Thanks for the response.  But, how is it that club manufacturers are bound to the rules of a governing body (be it the USGA, PGA etc)?  Have club manufacturers entered into a binding agreement with golf governing bodies?  If so why?

Is it true that Titleist will no longer be making the pre-2010 conforming grooves clubs after 2010?  If so why?
