• RE: 5 Wood

Can never go wrong with an 18 fairway.

    I have a 915F 18* (D3 18.75) 42.5 length Diamana 60 x5ct lite. I use it off the tee on 360 or less par 4s and some of the narrower par 5s. I get 200-220. I can hit 230 on a draw. I got around Torrey Pines South…
  • New 917 Driver

On Tuesday I finally got out to the golf course to actually play a full 18 holes and I have to say I am extremely impressed with the new 917 driver/shaft combination I purchased. Chris Welton at the Titleist National Fitting Centre did my fitting last…

  • RE: Low Spin Driver

Just out of curiosity, did your fitter have access to (only) a cart or was this at a Titleist Thursday? With all the driver shaft options available from Titleist, it's hard to imagine there isn't something that will perform better. If it was the former…
  • RE: Moving shafts from 915H to 818H2

It's been awhile since the 816's came out, but that's how I remember it. The 1 degree increment requires an 816/818 head and and 816/818 Surefit. The 913-915 Surefits only adjust 0.75 degrees in the 816/818 heads.
  • RE: 818H vs. 816H and 917F vs. 915F

Largest differences for me were the move to the 917 Dand F. Noticeably better forgiveness and with off center hits, still held line well. I did also upgrade shafts in each to a GD tour AD, but that combination over the 913 gained me an average of 20 yards…
  • RE: 910 Fairway

The 910 H/F/D all used the same adapter. Unlike the 913-917 fairways. You wouldn't be able to pull a shaft from a 913-917 fairway and use it directly in a 910. Easiest is to buy a used 910F for the shaft and resell the pieces. If you can find a 913…
  • RE: Shaft compatibility between 913F.d and 917D2

The Surefit connections are not compatible. 910-917 drivers are interchangeable with each other. 913-917 fairways are interchangeable with each other, only.
  • RE: Shafts

Any 910-917 driver shaft can be interchanged with a 913 driver. Finding a different weight to adjust the swing weight for the lighter shaft will be the hardest part.
  • RE: Shaft fitting

The reps that come with the Titleist Thursdays bring a wider selection of shafts than the stock shafts that many of the retails outlets carry. The 917 drivers can be Ferrari's when tuned properly. I liken it to going to a retail sporting goods outlet…
  • RE: D3 or D2

I've had both a 913 D3 and 915 D3 both in the 7.5 loft. I like the deeper face and slightly smaller head size and I can work the ball both ways. I was fit for the 915 at Titleist in Oceanside, CA and was expecting them to move me out of my 913 D3 7.5…
