When I hit my 8 iron on number 8 of Smithfeilds I knew i had hit it good, then I heard it hit the pin. I didnt really think it had went in but when i got up there to look at it and saw that it was in the hole is was the best feeling ever!

I find when I'm hitting it in all directions it's because I'm not keeping my eye on the ball. A few swings of just staring a hold through the ball tends to help me.
