Here's my theory: the Tour Chrome is manufactured slightly different to accommodate the extra Tour Chrome layer. Next time I have these two in my hand, I'll check it out!
I am about 99% sure the only non conforming Titleist iron was the 775 and 755. You should be good to go, but I'd call the USGA directly...or send them a note if it's not on the conforming list.

There are not currently options to open the faces more than the current design. But you can order additional shafts separately from what I hear!

Nowadays, the process for Casting is so much better...it's hard to tell the difference! Have you tried a Vokey wedge? ;)
You could say that in most cases, cast irons are designed with more game improvement features than forged irons...the only exception…
Negative as of this time. The TVDs are a premium wedge designed for Customization. Pretty good value though if you ask me! And you can order them through your local pro as well.
I believe you are right...many of our players agree with you. Unfortunately the original AP2s are no longer available. Some retailers and online options may have something for your. Many of players really like the feel of the CBs.
