Lower lofted hybrids are also harder to elevate and usually don't let the balls hold the green. Do a test fitting to see if the hybrid will give you the necessary descent angles to hold the green compared to the 5 or 7 wood.

I always wear my golf shoes at the range/chipping or putting. Whether it is hitting off of mats or the ground I want to simulate playing golf as much as possible.
