    Speedy, I use to go to the Masters every year and my favorite days were the practice rounds. I can relate to your experience and totally agree. Those old school courses do offer a real challenge.

    Glad you had a great trip Speedy! You need to go to Scotland, the people are just as friendly and welcoming and the golf is fantastic. Just be sure to pack for all 4 seasons.

    Dale V. hit it on the mark and it looks like you know what the cost is for a TPI visit. From the people I've met who have visited TPI, they all say pretty much the same thing, "bucket list, check."

    The Greenbrier Resort is on the east coast and an option.

    The RTJ Trail in Alabama is good too and on the cost effective side too.

    If cost is not a concern then you can go wrong with Pinehurst or Sea Pines (Hilton Head) that are on the east coast.

    Bucket list trip, Golfweek amateur tour event. It was light rain , wind and clouds, 172 yards with a Titleist 9 iron prov1 ball, one bounce and in the hole.. the ball stay in air longer than normal..a big gust of wind and ball found the hole...32 years…
