• 57 years and it is over

Hit a pure shot on a great line, thought it was going in until it went past the flag, then the spin of my ProV 1 took over and spun it in the back door for my first ace. You never know how many guys will show up at the bar for the free drinks. Can beat…

  • Hole in one

Got my first hole in one yesterday. Was 97 yards, used a choked down Vokey 52 wedge, hit the flag stick on the fly, and spun back in.

  • Hole in one

Yesterday, May 23rd, I made my first hole in one at Wedgewood Golf Club in Senatobia, MS. It was on the 128 yard, 13th hole. I was using a Titleist Prov1 golf ball.

The ball never left the hole and went in on the fly! Ironically, this happened on the…

  • RE: Visited my teaching Pro today!

As they say one step forward, two step backwards. My goal right now is to get healthy to make the trip to Ireland and survive the three days of golf. Was making what I thought was progress. Played on Friday, 82, Monday, 82, Wednesday, 97. There goes…

  • First Hole In One

Got my first hole in one on my brother’s bachelor party! Hit an 8 iron from 155 yards on the 4th hole at the Golf Club at Star Ranch. Knew I hit it close but couldn’t see the cup from the tee box. Got up there and saw my ball mark about 5 feet right of…

  • Pinehurst No. 2

My second hole in one was almost 40 years ago. For the last 8 years we've been spending winters in Pinehurst and I've witnessed all my buddies make aces and it felt like my time would never come. It became a joke, I would throw my arms in the air as…

  • My first Hole in One

At age 61, I finally got my first hole in one with a Titleist Pro V1. Memorial Day weekend and my course had the American flags flying on each hole. I am also a 25 year Air Force veteran which made it even sweeter to get my first hole in one with the…
