Benefits of a hybrid over an iron

Hi all.
I’m currently gaming the 712u 2 iron and I’m contemplating on replacing this with a 2 hybrid for a little more forgiveness and usability.
What are people’s thoughts? Do people find the 2 hybrid easier to shape etc but lose the penetrating…

Played the Pulpit 15 years ago. Eddie Shack was there and it was raining. I asked if wanted to play and he just laughed. The rain stopped after a few holes and I enjoyed the round.

How did the fitting go? I too have been playing 718’s and they have been great, but if the T 350’s are a lot better might have to check them out at some point.

Best wishes on healing, I too have been sidelined from golf for way too long due to back injury and surgery. Miss it so bad. I also had the nose surgery (septum) and it was life changing. All the best.
