New SM7 Vokey Wedges in golf shops today!

Abby L., Team Titleist Staff Team Titleist Staff

Hey Team Titleist,

The day has finally come - new SM7 Vokey Design Wedges are in golf shops, today! As we've learned, the fastest way to a better short game is through a wedge fitting. Developed through his collaboration with the world’s best shot makers, Bob Vokey's six tour-proven sole grinds – F, S, M, K, L and the new D grind – allows golfers of all skill levels to be precisely fit for their swing type, shot making style and course conditions.

If you can't head to a golf shop today, head to and try their wedge selection toolwhich goes through a variety of questions about your short game to help you find the best setup for your game.

In the meantime, let's get to know the six tour-proven sole grinds a little better and let us know which setup you end up with this season:

Voke’s favorite, the M Grind is designed for players that like to rotate the club face open and closed to manufacture shots around the green. Ideal for players with a shallower, more sweeping swing type who play shots from a variety of club face positions.

The K Grind is the highest bounce wedge in the lineup, and is the ultimate bunker club. The K Grind is a wide, full sole wedge with enhanced camber to make it forgiving from a variety of sand and turf conditions.

Simple mechanics are best with the S Grind for square faced shots with a touch more versatility than the F grind.

The L Grind features a narrow crescent shape allowing maximum green side versatility. Perfect for firm conditions and designed for skilled players who frequently open or close the club face to create shots around the green.

For players who prefer a traditional wedge sole, we present the F Grind, an all-purpose grind that is particularly suited for full shots and shots hit with a square face. The F Grind is the most played sand wedge on Tour.

Finally, the newest member of the grind family, the D Grind is the player’s high bounce wedge. High measured bounce with the crescent shape of the M grind is ideal players with a steeper angle of attack who play with a variety of club face positions.

How does the D grind compare to the V grind? How about to the high bounce M or the low bounce K? Thank you!!

I got fitted, ordered and received my SM7 46, 50, 54 & 58. When I went to register them there isn’t a drop down option for them yet. Do you know when it will be updated?

The D seems to be a surefire winner!

Just bought a 56-08 M and a 60-08 M last night and played them this morning. Great clubs, but so we're the SM6s. I love the new brushed steel finish.

Got fitted for mine yesterday! I’ll be upgrading from the sm5 finally and the difference is night and day! The new 60 D grind is a game changer for me!

The wedge selection tool suggested the same 3 wedges that I was fit for. That's pretty effective!
