  1. Hello,

I just come back from a fitting and still can't make my choice.

I hit the MB a little bit better than than the CB on average but the missed shot are better with the CB than the MB.

I was doing it with a 6 iron and still don't know if I'll be able to shot 3 and 4 irons' in MB configuration. Won't it be too hard ?

Is a combo set the right solution for you ?

    Thanks for your help.

The right solution, is the setup that works best for you.  Many people play a mixed or combo set of irons.  For instances, I know a lot a amateurs that may play AP1's 4-7 and AP2's 8-PW.  They do this because they like the work-ability with the shorter irons, but have a little trouble with the longer irons.  In your case I might do 5-7 in the CB since the longer shots have less margin of error.  Then I would do 8-PW in MB, therefore you can work the ball better and since you had more control with those.  For the 3 and 4 maybe try the CB's.  If that doesn't work go for a 21* and 24* hybrid.  This is just my opinion and hope that it will help you.  Great job on going through with the fitting though.  Good luck on your search!

I was in the same boat as you after my fitting. I ended up going with 3-5 in the CBs and 6-9 in the MBs. The CB long irons actually transition well with the MBs and it is nice in my opinion to have that added level of forgiveness. In the end it comes down to personal preference. Good luck with your decision.
