My 983K driver (SN# 38CCP) Aldila NVS 65R shaft recently broke. When I removed the broken shaft from the head and went to clean out the hosel, the drill bottomed out on metal at about 1 1/2 inches. It appears to me that the hosel is not a thru bore design as all the literature states but a blind bore. Did Titleist ever replace the 983K thru bore hosel with a special blind bore hosel possibly to accommodate the shorter shaft parallel tip?
