After a Titleist Thursdays fitting a month ago at Windmill Lakes in Ravenna, OH (nice job Justin Long), I had very similar numbers with my existing 714 AP2's and both the 718 AP2's & AP3's with a variety of shafts. After a couple weeks of reviewing the data, I chose to move ahead with replacing my AP2's with the 718 AP2's with the same shaft as in my current set (KBS C-Taper Lite in stiff) as I really like the feel of those--picked them up last Thursday. With only the chance to hit 15-20 balls with the new irons prior to my first round on Saturday, I was expecting it to take a bit of time to get used to the feel. It really only took the front 9, which was far from my best, but after making the turn, was able to shoot even par on the back nine (2 bogeys/2 birdies). The biggest thing I noticed outside of a slightly different feel at contact was a few extra yards especially on the short irons. I loved the feel of my 714's, and I can already tell that with a few more rounds and practice sessions with the 718's, I will have the same love for the new ones. Well done Titleist.

i have taken my ap2 a couple of times and love them. They have a great feel and the history of the ap2 line.

I see mine staying in my bag for a long long time

Just hit my new AP2's for the first time. Great feel, great ball flight. Ball seems to jump off the face. I'm in love. Can't wait to take them out on the course.

I picked up my 718 AP2's a week ago today. Replaced 710AP2's. After a few shots to warm up, first iron shot on course was a PW from 117 to 3 feet for birdie. Shot 76 for the day and was sold that I made the right choice. Thanks to Chip Olenick for fitting me to these clubs. I'm proud to be a "Titleist Guy".
