Club fitting qualification

    Hi guys,

    Im 17 and currently playing off 6 in the UK, does anyone know how to approach doing your fitting qualification and if you need any prior experience working in a shop or with clubs before.really eager to start the qualifications and maybe give it a shot and turning pro in the near future.

    any help would be hugely appreciated !

    Hi Joe,  Are you looking to become a club fitter?  If you want to become a club fitter, you will need to work at a shop and the best way to start is to learn from a good fitter in your area.  Contact our UK office at UKConsumer@Acushnetgolf.com and ask them for a recommendation for good fitting accounts near your home and the name of the fitter.  Contact the fitter and even if they don't have a current position open, the fitter might still be open to teaching you fitting basics. Working at a shop will give you an opportunity to learn as well as practice.

    Ah thanks, it's so difficult to find a decent answer, been looking for a while now and want to become a club fitter but can't see to find the places to do the qualifications !
