  1. As a newby to the golf world and in the middle of Iowa, I see the top level courses each week on TV, but never been to a top level course. What's the best course you played and what course would you most like to play?

Although I'm not sure if it is considered a top level golf course, one in my bucket list for me that's very realistic in the near future is to play Wolf Creek in Mesquite, NV.

I've really been wanting to play some top notch courses lately but haven't gotten the chance yet. I'd really like to play pebble beach, TPC sawgrass, pinehurst No 2, bandon dunes. I live in Oklahoma so harder to make it out to those courses. But being in Oklahoma i'm going to try this summer to play Southern Hills in Tulsa and Oak Tree National which have both hosted majors.

A few come to mind. The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, Charleston, SC, about 30 minutes from my house. Have played it many times and it will test all your skills. The Country Club of Charleston, the first golf club in N America, Seth Raynor design, and greens that will drive you nuts and hole number 11, one you will never forget. Ballybunion (Ireland) Cabot Cliffs (Nova Scotia) Torrey Pines, Spyglass Hill and PGA West in California, Merimechi and Colonial Country Club in Memphis, TN and the Surf Club and the Dunes in Myrtle Beach. And one I would like to play, like most, is the Old Course in Scotland and local courses surrounding it. I have been very fortunate to have been able to play a number of good courses around the US and I am sure there will be some more.

I've played Whistling Straits, Erin Hills, and Conway Farms in the last 2 years. One has hosted a major, one will host a major, and one has hosted the BMW during the Fedex cup playoffs. I think Erin Hills was the best, up in Wisconsin. I played it at a better time of year than I did Whistling Straits, however I loved the overall experience of Erin Hills more. Great staff and clubhouse, excellent outdoor area with fire pits for after the round.

The course I most want to play in my immediate future is Oak Hill, since it's from near my hometown. The course at the top of my bucket list is the Old Course.
  7. I am going to play Hawks Head in South Haven, Michigan this summer. I really want to play Fishers Island Club in NY and Oakland Hills in Michigan.

At the moment TPC Boston the best course I've ever played. There are plans in the future to play Chambers Bay and Bethpage Black, crossing my fingers it will happen...

Of course I would LOVE to play Augusta but that's a dream. Hopefully someday I can make it out to Scotland and play the Old Course and a few others.

    Baby steps :)

Augusta National of course! But realistically I'd like to cross the ocean course at Kiawah and Pinehurst #2 off my bucket list.

I haven't played too many extravagant courses but I would have to say Wente in Livermore California was the best I've played. It would be a dream to play Augusta National but that probably won't happen. LOL I live in the San Francisco Bay Area so I'm going to play Pebble Beach! I'm going to knockout Spyglass too while I'm at it.

I've been lucky to play while vacationing

Two favourites so far. Dye course, Iberostar playa paraiso resort Playa del Carmen where Big Break Mexico was shot

The other would be Stewart Creek, Canmore AB. Set in the Rocky Mountains, it's a challenging course with a fantastic backdrop

Too many to list. Been VERY lucky my youth was spent around Long Island playing the iconic private clubs. My list would be:

    Ocean Course
    Pebble Beach
    Merion
    Oakmont

  19. Best ever played. Pacific Dunes in Oregon. The way golf was meant to be.

The course I want to play. Cypress Point in CA. For those of you unfamiliar with Cypress Point, I recommend reading the book call "The Match: The Day the Game of Golf Changed Forever.
