I worked a ProAm event today the the Daniel Island Club in Charleston SC and spoke with a couple of pros who just happened to have the new 714 AP2s in their bag.   They spoke very highly of the new irons and said that they were the best irons that they had ever hit.  Asked if I could borrow them until mine were shipped on November 1st and they kinda giggled and politely said naw.....We really appreciate Kyle Thompson and Mark Anderson coming and supporting the event....and wish them well......good to hear such positive feedfack from guys who make a living with these instruments.....in case you haven't figured it out, I'm the old man...told them to look for their picture on the Team Tileist site........

  2. Thanks for sharing! I'm sure a lot of Pros, and ams, are going to/do, love the 714 AP2's. Those guys in the pics have great games. We shall see how they do with the new sticks!

I was at a Team Titleist outing at Streamsong in Florida and hit the new 714s both AP1 and AP2s they are fantastic!!!!. I am going to a certified fitter that was there and have a mixed set made for me 4-6 in AP1s 7 thru gap in AP2s. If you get  a chance to try them  you will be see the difference 2 years can make.

I currently play AP2s (silverbacks) and get way to much feedback on bad shots.....I had my fitting last week and my order was placed on Monday......I ordered AP2s, XP95 stiff shafts, on half inch over and 1 degree up......four wraps to midsize on grips.....they should be shipped on November 1st....I thought about a mixed bag of AP1/AP2s, but after hitting both clubs, we found that with my clubhead speed of 110+... I had more distance and accuracy with the AP2s.....actually got the 6 iron up to 189 yards......could not get the AP1 more than around 175......at my age, 67, I am pretty happy with the results and have only been playing 27 years...only problem is that November 1st is just too far away.....the difference in my current AP2s and these is off the chart.....shoot in mid 70s to mid 80s with current set and actually threw in a 69 a few weeks ago and hoping these new irons will add some new adventures to my game, positives ones...... : )  Thanks Titleist......a bag full of happiness.....
